Electronic Arts (EA) has officially confirmed the worldwide release schedule for Battlefield 6. The highly anticipated first-person shooter will launch globally on October 10, 2025, with pre-loads now available on all major platforms — except the Epic Games Store.
Battlefield 6 Season 1: Full Schedule and What’s Coming
EA also detailed what players can expect from the game’s first major post-launch content update — Season 1 — which begins on October 28. The season will roll out in three exciting phases:
- Rogue Ops (October 28): introduces a brand-new map Blackwell Fields, new weapons, and a fast-paced 4v4 mode called Strikepoint.
- California Resistance (November 18): adds the Eastwood map set in Southern California and debuts a new 8v8 mode, Sabotage.
- Winter Offensive (December 9): the final phase of Season 1 brings the “seasonal” Empire State map along with a special limited-time event that EA has yet to reveal.
Launch Access and Platforms
Unlike previous releases, Battlefield 6 won’t offer early access — meaning all players across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to jump in at the same global time.
- Steam players can play directly without needing the EA App, but an EA Account is still required.
- Epic Games Store players must install both the EA App and have an EA Account to access the game.
- EA Play Pro subscribers can play the Phantom Edition of Battlefield 6 starting Day 1 via the EA App.
EA has also teased that a free-to-play battle royale mode will drop later in October, expanding the game’s multiplayer experience even further.
